Post by: hoggj on April 05, 2014, 02:39:12 pm
Anyone had this, my DSG box does not always want to change gear, every now and again it waits till over 4000 revs(gear change is smooth no jerking)before it changes from 1st to 2nd 3rd and 4th? I can you the paddles and no problems, it does not happen all the time, and there is no constistancey to it ?
Happens when engine is hot and cold!

It should only do that if you're in Sport mode or using the kickdown/ pushing on hard.

Has it been serviced or had an oil change recently? Might be worth getting the DSG reset to see if that makes any difference.

Have a read here http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,80168.0.html

In the end he changed the ABS rings and bearing to fix the issue.

Cars doing it in "D", and not driving hard, yes it's just had a major service, (but started doing this before it was serviced), it had a DSG oil service after 4 years at 33000 miles, how do you go about getting a DSG reset?.
