Simple question - does the mk6 engine cover fit a mk5?

If no, is there a how to on how to modify the standard cover?

Lol I'd worked that much out. Is it as simple as just trimmed the bits off that don't fit?

The mk6 one looks like it should go straight on, and is available at half the price, but I don't know if the mounting locations are the same.
