I'm finding it hard to find a revo dealer in the north east, anyone help me out?
Cheers
-
Have you looked on the Revo Technik website? That has a dealer search section.
-
Yes and it has nothing, but surely there is a dealer out there somewhere
-
Go APR, Richard Martin Automotive Solutions in Peterlee is a dealer ;)
-
Didn't give APR a thought, did I read that revo and apr are the same? Do they have a rolling road and do they set it up properly like for fuel etc. I know it won't be a custom map but do these kinda maps have to be set up or just plug n play?
-
No mate theyre the same, but theyre 2 of the biggest tuners for these engines
it is plug and play mate, but theres been loads of R&D so its not just a sh1tty generic map
You will be happy with whichever one you go for tbf. I have APR software on my car so dont mind taking you for a spin sometime
-
Give big fish tuning a thought, they arnt as big as Revo or APR but have a very good reputation :happy2:

Don't they do more stuff on tractors though?
-
BFT have had loads of high powered petrol cars through the doors, you just have go check his latest Merc project to see that

Just been on there website, well that was pointless. You have any experience with them?
Will the dealers set it up? It's confusing me when everyone seems to be changing their settings on the revo software :rolleye:
-
Yeah the dealer just put it on for you
I wouldn't worry about the settings, you don't have to change them lol :booty:
-
As Betty has said people just alter their settings if they have changed any if their hardware etc.
Lots if people have the Revo map installed and setup and that's it.
-
I use Jon at big fish and hiS maps are very good
-
Yeah I've had triple h install software and hardware... He's fine with the software but being honest he's much better with hardware

Depends how North and East you live mate, but is Edinburgh a travel-able distance? Western VW have GTI World here, they're licenced Revo dealers.
-
Think il settle for apr if I get it mapped but what happens when I come to sell and what it back to the stock vw map? How where?
-
Just noticed triple h are no longer revo agents and neither are sedox or whatever they used to be called in Sunderland.... Meaning those in the north east have to travel to York or Edinburgh now... Which sucks

...........or go to peterlee and get APR lol
-
Yes il just go for apr now but how do I reset back to vw stock setting ? Someone must know
-
Just been looking on the Revo website as I'm looking into remapping my 170 scirocco, there is a dealer in sunderland that is about 4 doors away from the sedox unit. Anyone got any feedback from anyone local who can do tricore tuning? I know a few people who've been to awesome gti in Manchester for maps and are more than happy, but after someone a little more local
-
whats the name? Because i know sedox has change name and moved down the road to a bigger unit
-
Contact Jon at big fish tuning in Stokesley , he does is own maps

Performance something or other, I'd be really surprised if a company like revo were to make them dealers again after the last debacle!
-
Performance centre.
-
Yeah that's them still the same people I think it says they are BMW specialists now.
I'm with andy, go to big fish tuning he really knows his stuff top bloke too

Bit of a revival of the thread  Lincoln would of been to far anyways, in the end I just decided to keep my money and put it towards buying a focus rs.

Focus Rs

Still can't decide between a rs and a mk6 R, love my vw's but fancy a change at the same time. The thing with the rs is it's got bags of attitude and presence and let's not forget the noise they make. I can see why some people might be put off.
