I wouldn't bother mate I had one on my R and messed up all the DSG changes to be fair to them they altered the map 3 times but to no avail and was still cutting power on the up shift. Customer service was spot on though as they reset it for free and I never bought it new.  :happy2:

Mine was spot on on my ed30 with dsg and made good figures but it was my 3rd map off them

Good afternoon mark.

We do have some files which seem to respond better to cars fitted with the DSG transmissions but there is no significant difference in power or torque when you dyno a DSG & manual car on the same calibration.

I have made a few key revisions to your file based on some work we have done with an S3, RS3 and TTRS fitted with the DSG / S-Tronic transmission. Please download it and give it a try.

Any experience around with a manual? I plan to get this as all the decent mappers seem to be a trek away from me so wanted to try this first!

Bad advice!!!

Yes people may say its ok and have good results, but most of them havent had Revo or R-Tech. When i switched from Bluefin to Revo it was night and day.

Bluefin just seems to die off, REVO pulls hard all the way. Its not all about peak figures, but my Bluefin only made 15BHP over stock whilst Revo make 66Bhp over stock (MK6 GTI - same rolling road, same air temps) and as for the torque.....different league.

If you want a 3/4 power map...then Bluefin maybe for you. Just dont regret it when you want R-Tech or Revo 2 months later.

I'll crawl out of the woodwork as another satisfied Bluefin customer...
My ed30 ran it for almost 5 years and always made good numbers on dynos, pulled great on road and track and never missed a beat in 73k remapped miles, same can be said for the ed35 using the same handset albeit reset  :happy2:

We can all say buy this buy that but he clearly is a distance away from a tuner and sounds like his minds made up.
If you are going to travel go APR or Giac  :happy2:

A quick search for bluefin came up with this:

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,65077.0.html

Steve was a big fan of bluefin until he saw the way it was working his turbo hard, for what appears to be no reason.

I heard that one of Revo's map writers has gone to Superchips now, so maybe things have improved?

Let us know how you get on if you decide to go bluefin  :happy2:

I think their map for K04 must be a lot better than K03 & IHI turbo. I kid you not, it dyno'd 226bhp. It didnt drive bad at all, it was quite linear but just didnt pull hard.

Im not trying to talk you in to any certain map, its just my experience. My car had no faults, leaks or boost problems. 2 weeks later with REVO on it ran 276Bhp.

As I say I've had no absolutely no reason to dislike my Bluefin map(s) over the 3 cars I've used the handset on

I'm sure it's not as powerful as Revo/R tech/whoever is the flavour of the month etc but my ed30 was perfect for me, came second in class at the inters sprint 2 years running, did great dyno lottery numbers and ran on to 175mph on an autobahn, so yes Revo etc may be 'better' but Bluefin does suit some people, me included!

Bluefin on my old Ed30 was spot on.

Not the headline grabbing figures of other maps however it was very nice to drive and made pretty good figures, but as we all know it's not about the figures.

Everyone who is saying it drive great and got decent figures are in Ed30 or Ed35, which by the looks of it they have done a decent job. But the standard Mk5  or mk6 GTI not so good.

anyways, each to their own. Im sure you will be happy with what ever you get

It should feel quick when forcing 1.7bar out of the turbo

The initial hit of boost should be quite addictive. I wonder if Beddie & Hedge had the same version of the map as Saintsteve?  :popcornsoda:

I can't speak for Hedge but I know mine was different to steves, never ventured further than stage 1 and iirc steve was running stage 2? :happy2:
