Evening all, google search brings up quite a few threads on this but they are quite old! Can any1 help with up to date part no and prices?
3 door side skirts and fitting kit ( I know you can get the gti textured skirts and smooth ed/r32 ones and there's about £150 price difference! )

Would VW tell you if there's a newer part when you give them the part numbers?
-
Maybe, I just don't have any confidence in my local VW! I phoned and asked for a price on fitting a flat bottom gti steering wheel to my tdi and they said it couldn't be done!!!! :stupid:

Nice 1 Si. How old are these prices? Satin black, does that mean they're textured?

The prices are totally up top date, go to TPS and you'll get them a bit cheaper

Are the ED30 and GTI skirts the same? Are the part no's above the smoothed version ready to paint for an ED30?
I noticed the other day when cleaning my 3dr ED30, the skirt on the passenger side overhangs the rear arch by about 5 or 6mm, so I'm guessing a previous owner fitted a 5 door one in error? That opens a can of worms about undeclared accident damage obviously, but I want it to be as it should be.
Is it a DIY job removing / refitting skirts as they are glued on normally?

My R32 ones overhang as well never been in an accident, just thought that's how they were.

Oh really, that's interesting. I just thought it was odd on mine that the driver's side sill pulls tightly up to the arch, but on the passenger side there's like a 5-6mm gap between the arch and the plastic sill trim. I don't see how that is possible unless the wrong part was used on one side, and there is mention on here that the 5 door sill trim is slightly different to the 3 door one.
