I had been thinking I had a lack of power for the last couple of months but finally got round to running an auto scan at the weekend.
Sure enough there was a low boost error which pointed to the diverter valve.
Got it swapped today and oh my word the difference is amazing pulls like a train!!! :happy2:
If you think you low on power get it checked out well worth it for £70!!

£70!!
:surprised:  :surprised:

Fitted. Thought that was reasonable. :ashamed:
-
Is it a forge one? Or VW?
-
VW. Revision G.
-
Is that on a GTI or ED30?
-
VW. Revision G.
Rev G are only like £40 on eBay.

The price was fitted..........

Surely it shouldn't cost 30 quid to fit it? Everyone says its a "2 second job" to check the DV.

Well... the least you are gonna be charged is 1/2 hour labour (unless you have a very friendly mechanic) so 30-40 fitting. 70 isnt that bad really

Place I go to just charges for what he does, but aye I think majority of places would charge you an hour lol.

I did consider doing it myself but looked a bit awkward.
Didn't fancy getting under the car, deffo not a 2 second job on the k03!
So they charged me £25 labour which I didn't think was too bad? :sad1:

Dont worry about it, thats a decent enough price, I think I paid about half an hours labour for mine. You wont really get it any cheaper unless you do it yourself or are on matey terms with a mechanic.
