Is it possible to flash the firmware on a can gateway to make it compatible with the RNS 510.
Ross tech seem to suggest this is possible?
Has anyone done it? If so what tools/software did you use?
Thanks.

Dealer tool can flash them
It is not 100% safe and know of some that have fried
Tbh you would do better to replace it with a newer one.
Then you swop back when you sell the car, you then have a gateway to sell

Yeah I have a new one ready to roll but just thought a flash might be easier than a replacement and re-code!
But if it's no a good idea will leave it.
Thanks!! :happy2:

If you have a new one fit it

As EDDIE said. The most cost effective approach with the least amount of hassle is to swap out the Gateway, especially if you have a newer one already. Coding the new Gateway isn't too difficult either

Yeah will do, just thought plugging laptop in and clicking flash would be easier!!
Naturally lazy!!!

Like wise. I bought my Gateway pre-coded from Eddie last year, literally plug and play with no coding required.
