Title: Advise needed.. On an S3 8P oval interior rear veiw mirror install

Hi
Im sure a few you members have swapped from the standard square to the s3 oval rear veiw interior mirror on a golf gti mk5.....

Is it a strsight swap?
Is there any fiddling with the wiring?
Because i have an auto dim, and rain sensor type...

Please drop me a few lines with what i need to do to swap to the oval type mirrior...

I think the tts, Ttrs, and S3 are all the same? Correct?

Actuall george there really is no reason behind any modification... :grin:

Its personal style..
I like that  oval look from my old e46 m3....

Got any input george?
Is it a direct fit?

I don't know this mod Nick and because of the rain sensor I'm afraid it would be a "dangerous" one... :scared:

Fit a scirocco one it'll fit perfect with no issues, I think they look very similar

Have you already got the mirror? Do you have pictures of the connector and it's bracket to hold it to the windscreen? Perhaps then I/we can let you know if it will fit
