Title: Anyone used 'tyresonthedrive.com' in Leeds?
Post by: PND on April 12, 2014, 07:03:19 pm
I'm needed two new tyres and looking at using 'tyresonthedrive.com' in Leeds to get 2 x Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres...

GOODYEAR 225/40R18 92Y EAG F1 ASYM2 FP XL  @ £117.00 INC VAT EACH = £234.00   <-- includes fitting.

Has anyone any experience of using these mobile fitters?

I'm assuming that there is no problem having different brands of tyres front and back?   Currently has Continental Sport Contact 2 tyres front and back but two are down to 'barely legal' tread.

Alternatively I buy two from Camskill at £201.48 inc VAT and find a local fitter..  How much should I be paying just for fitting of 2 tyres?

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Paul.

Quick-Fit. You'd be lucky to drive away with round un scratched wheels!

I've used both tyres on the drive and event tyres albeit in Cheshire, used them 9 times over 3 cars in total and never had some much as a bit of dirt put on the wheels, great service imo  :happy2:

Cheers for that.  Think I'll go with 'tyresonthedrive'.  Am I right in thinking that the new ones are best on the rears and move the existing good Contis to the front?

Yeah new rubber on the rear, there's a vid of VBH showing why in YouTube somewhere

You must have a mate that works at kwick fit!

They refuse point blank up here to fit anything unless they supply it

I'm not too keen on the mobile fitters, used one once and none of the wheels were balanced properly

Paul,

http://www.clickontyres.co.uk/buy-tyres-online/product/225_40_R18_Goodyear_EAGLE_F1_ASYMMETRIC_2_92_Y_XL

click on tyres, used them a few times now, they talk through each wheel with you before they touch them so if there are any marks its noted down before they start fitting anything. Also very happy for you to stand at side of them whilst they fit the tyres etc...

Im sure its about £12 fitting.

Couldnt rate them high enough.

:happy2: Say Chris with the silver GTI Edition 30 sent you.
