Can anyone advise from experience of a good pad to replace the Textar ones I've been running on my NQSBBK?
The Textar pads have done really well and I'd get them again............unless anyone can recommend a no-brainer replacement.
Brembo / Pagid / Ferodo etc?
I don't do track days and just want something that doesn't squeak and it as reliable as a German quality control checker...............
Cheers!

Same again pal.... You running the porsche shims on the pads
-
Can I just asked in here what discs people would recommend?
Is there any good drilled/grooved ones?
-
Thanks Dave, I do have some shims to add to the next ones yes. Squeaking does occasionally get a bit annoying!
Cheers for the good advise as always!

Arris.
I've got drilled Mercedes disks from DaveB so maybe ask him if he can hold of these as they match very well with the set-up.

I run the pagid rs4-2 blues in mine. Great setup IMO :drinking:

Can anyone confirm if these are the correct pads for my calipers which are 986.351.412 & 422

And the ones referred to in this thread?

Appears to be so as there not the boxster-s. How come your not thinking of running boxster-s pads to gain the extra width in the upswept area and cut the pads slightly down to fit..?
-
I didn't know that was a option?
Any more details if it's worth doing or a guide to do it?
-
I would template the Boxster pads onto the Boxster-S get the grinder out and go from there. Start slowly a little bit at a time until they seat in and fit. Perhaps purchasing a set of cheaper pads like Textar compared to DS2000 would be a safer option if things go bad.
I've only done the shims for the Boxster-S currently as I managed to get hold of some race titanium shims for the price of normal shims, and when I brought the calipers their were still loads of material on the brake pads. Once these discs or pads wear out I will be using the Boxster-S pads as I don't like the unsightly look of the 10mm unswept area.
