I have been looking for a tow bar to fit the VW bumper (the manufacturers one) is this the best one to get? or is there a better/cheaper one?

looks like the right one to me and you have the bonus of it being detachable  :happy2:
You will still need electrics 7pin for trailers or 13pin for caravan depends on what your towing, may also need coding once installed.
