hi all, does anyone know where I can get hold of a standard rear anti roll bar from? anyone selling one on here? just spent £1400 on the car so not quite got the cash for a whiteline just yet and mine has snapped :(

Can anyone shed any light for me?
Found a few second hand ones on ebay but are all for 2.0 TDI / 1.9 TDI / 2.0 SDI. Are these all the same or different fitments?

I think the fitment is the same, with exception of 4wd models, but the diameter and construction of the bar will vary between models.
Eg. Some are thicker than others, some are solid, some are hollow.
I have collected some info on this myself... I'll dig it out.

Ok, sourced from various google searches along with etka, here is the info I have so far.
I don't think the 4WD ARBs will fit a 2WD model, but I have one in the garage, im going to compare and see the difference soon.
Looks like the one to go for, if you can find it, is the Passat R36 ARB. Its a 23.6mm (same as GTI) but is a solid bar, rather than hollow.
Although the GTI version is probably easier to get hold of.

Is it same as GT TDI 1K0 511 409 CA?
