Title: GT and GTI bumper

Hi Guys,

A bit of a stupid question - but is the GT bumper from the mk5 and the GTI bumper the same thing? they look VERY allike im guessing just the grills are different?

But that's only if we're talking GT sports, I think it's the early GTs that have standard Golf/non-GTI bumpers

the gt sport does not have the gti front lip.

This is worth considering, although your can fit one or an ED30 one I think.

True, but it can have holes drilled in the bottom to accept the middle piece of a GTI spoiler, making it look identical.
Also, GT Sport/GTI/ED30/Jettas all have interchangeable splitters.

Yeah AFAIK all the "black fronted" front bumper grills are interchangeable.

They are all interchangeable apart from some Jetta fog light grilles, which are elongated at the top, meaning they can't fit a Golf bumper

Also the late 06/ 56/ early 07 plate GT grille is the same, looks identical to the GT Sport minus the black middle section.

That's what I was about to add, mine is a 56-plate so came just before the black insert but otherwise it is the same and can accept GTi grilles.
