Title: Uprated clutch needed for Stage 1 Remap
Post by: Alex156 on April 22, 2014, 10:33:22 pm
Hi,

Just had a stage 1 remap and really loving it.  The map was capped due to a bit of clutch slip (still on OEM clutch at 97k so to be expected).  My question really is to find out if a new OEM clutch will be up to the new found power/torque (249bhp/310 ft/lbs) or if I need to source an uprated kit.

If I do go down the uprated route any recommendations?

Thanks,

Alex

I'm guessing Niki @ R-Tech mapped it from those figures  :happy2:

OEM clutch will probably take it for a few thousand miles but will start slipping again. Your best off with an updated clutch, and future proofing for any further power mods
