Hi all, looking to get my Gti remapped soon. Is there anything i need to do or buy before a stage 1 map or i can it be mapped straight away??

If you haven't got one already, a Revision G Diverter valve would be a good idea. It's worth checking your PCV (blow through it to test if it's ok, and make sure it's not overdue a service and has plenty of oil in.
Enjoy :happy2:

R8 coil packs, new plugs, new DV, will work a treat with a remap IMO :happy2:

do as said before and drive to RTECH

Stage 1 is purely software and no other hardware is needed. However as others have stated you just need to ensure your cars engine is running fine with no issues. You may want to look at having the pre cat removed if you were going to Rtech to make a few more bhp. Id stick with the Oe air filter or if you want, fit a Pipercross filter. Other than that you are good to go for more smiles per gallon :happy2:

Talk to your Insurance company - find out if they will cover you & how much it'll cost you
