Title: Modding is addictive!
Post by: lennard_D on April 25, 2014, 12:23:34 pm
Hi guys just wanted to say thanks for all the help with my various newbie posts.

I started out not wanting to do any mobs but now I want to do all the following:

New wheel caps/wheel refurb
New tyres - Eagle F1s Assy2s
RNS510/RCD510 with Bluetooth kit
Highline computer upgrade
MFSW

Addictive and expensive business! Tyres aside I don't need any of those mods but I want them so bad!!!

I'm the same! New on here and biggest mistake I made haha. Will be bankrupt in no time. I have a rns510 unit which I think I will be putting up for sale soon. Just need to get enough posts out the way before I start selling.

Yes you definitely save a lot of money getting really helpful information on this site but it also costs you as you want to do all the cool stuff other people have done! It never ends!!

What version RNS510 have you got? How come you're selling?

As far as I'm aware it's a c( has the star button top right) but not sure.

If came with the car as a spare. I have a pioneer unit which was put in as part of my audio instillation. I think the rns unit didn't work as well with the sub and amp install, not sure of this though. I prefer the look of the rns unit as well.

I know what you mean, I'm in exactly the same position! The more you read about mods on here the more you want them!

New wheel caps/wheel refurb
New tyres - Eagle F1s Assy2s

I see these things as just general maintenance/tidying up the car

They are, I enjoy even the most minor things haha.

They should rename the "members rides" section "The Asylum for the chronically addicted" as most cars in there have atleast a few things done to them.

It's threads like these where I miss Red Robin's input - usually a comical picture  :popcornsoda:

NeilC - £30k nice work mate!

JB93Gti - my car is in garage this week to get a few things sorted included tyres but will post my feedback in a few weeks. Goodyear F1s and Michelin PS3s seem to get the best reviews on here.

I still haven't stopped after 3 years, there is always something round the corner.

I haven't gone down one route I've done a bit of performance, bit of handling, some pointless mods, lots of retrofits etc etc

it does stop when you eventually run out of cash :)

I know the feeling, finally decided to 'stop' modding for a while so I could save some money to buy a house so bought an edition 30 as my 'sensible daily driver' about 10 days ago and it's booked in tomorrow for a Revo Stage 1 map  :signLOL:
