Is it just my car or is the auto wipers on golfs really crap and have a mind of their own, my ones are always really fast or really slow. Is there anything I can do to fix it. Im finding myself using the stalk to wipe when it rains
-
You can alter the sensitivity using the slider switch on the wiper stalk?
That usually sorts it for me when they're going mental.
-
Has your windscreen been replaced? Mine was fine until I got it replaced.. Now it's exactly like you say..
-
Same here. Either not enough wipes or too many wipes back to back. The slider switch doesn't make much difference to mine.

Same here either too fast or too slow, my windscreen is genuine vw, not sure if it's been replaced though

Mine are rubbish, most of the time they go way too fast. Don't bother using them. Find it annoying you can't manually turn on intermittent wipe.
Auto lights on the other hand generally work pretty well
-
Ye mines been exactly the same since having a new windscreen fitted.

Not a golf but its sister the S3, Mine had the windscreen replaced before I bought the car and my auto wipers were going mad or not wiping the window as much as I liked, on further investigation I found the GEL pad that sits in between the sensor and the windscreen was missing.......... :surprised:
Bought a new one from TPS fitted it and all works as it should.......................... :happy2:
Maybe worth a look at least.
Cheers Dan

There's a how to on here. I think the bloke basically removed the sensor for a certain amount of time and it reset it's self.
Mine was rubbish but then I had my screen replaced and it sorted itself out

mine works fine compared to the auto wipers I had on my clio 182. hoping it stays that way!
