I'm hoping that any of you resident electrical wizards may be able to help me with something.
I have a 58 plate Leon Cupra that came with factory fitted Bluetooth that works through the multifunction steering wheel and red dot highline MFD.
Myself and Monte recently fitted an RNS510 version H which has vastly improved the car. It works seamlessly with the MFD displaying route guidance etc but the only thing that doesn't work is the "phone" option on the RNS. If I press that button it simply mutes the music and doesn't even display the Phone screen.
My Bluetooth unit does still work however via the steering wheel and MFD as if the original stereo was still installed.
Is there any way I can get the Bluetooth to work via the RNS? Is this just a coding issue or is it (as I'm expecting) the case that I need an upgraded Bluetooth unit?
Any info would be greatly received.

This is what I fitted for the phone book to work with the steering wheel and the stereo and instrument cluster!

Thanks very much matey, awesome write up too!
So, looks like I'll just need the Premium Bluetooth unit then as mine's already fitted from the factory so everything else is already in place.
Now to find a unit..........
