Title: Convert flat bottom to MFSW
Post by: Gti Jal on October 15, 2009, 06:16:31 pm
Hello peeps,

I have picked up a near new standard round MFSW and controller. Can I unbolt the controls from the lacklustre wheel and mount them onto the flat bottom I have in the GiT?

As long as the steering wheel has removable covers I see no reason why not.

Well it all comes apart ok. So another thing to add to the list of mods that are awaiting fitment.

This is only possible on the DSG with flappy paddles.

Surely if the black covers are removable to reveal the button mountings and there is the holder for the controller it'll be fine.  Not sure where DSG comes into it?

I was under the impression that DSG steering wheels have the controllers for the buttons built in but manual steeribg wheels don't. Wrong or right?

I believe your correct.

Also on the manual wheel under the covers there isn't the cut out needed to install the buttons  :happy2:
