Title: Rust warranty. Help??!!

Hi,

I have brought my self an 05 plate golf gti. Love it
But what i dont like is a rust patch on the near side front wing that has actually perished all the way through the body work.

Somone was saying VW have a 12year warranty on that?
And the car has been lowered on coilovers do you think they will brush be aside because of that? Or are they actually reasonable and understand this shouldnt of rusted all the way through?

Having spoken to vw customer services on this matter there is apparently no generic stance other than they will make some contribution to the costs if no previous work has been performed on the wing. You'll need to work it through your local dealer and see what happens. FYI I am receiving 75% for both wings

Have had both front wings replaced FOC and am currently waiting on another claim on the rear wheel arch hopefully again free
