Title: Lend me you Wheels!... Please

Hi Guys,

I'm having my wheels refurbished, and it just occurred to me I don't have any other so put on.

I don't particularly care what they are as long as they'll fit an 06 GTI.

I understand this is highly unlikely but anyone local to Chesterfield/Sheffield/Derby etc that could lend me a set for about 5 days would be amazing!

Good luck with this. If you get anywhere with it let me know who lent them you. Im in Chesterfield and plan on doing exactly the same. The only thing thats stopped me :signLOL:

5 days to have wheels done?!?!?!

Surely it'll only be a day.....

Curing time before the tyres go on is usually 36 hours, which in reality is 2 days as i can't collect them due to work etc.

I had mine refurbed and it only took a few hours and the wheel is spot on  :confused:

I've got a set of SEAT Altea Wheels 16" sat in the garage as I changed them on my previous car to 17" FR wheels.
I'd be happy for for you to use them as long as I get them back! I think they need 2 tires though....
In Huddersfield. Might be a bit far for you

Why not just buy a cheap set of wheels on eBay with decent tyre's? Then sell them back on after you've used em.

As said buy a spare set...

Many powdercoating companies can offer wheel turnarounds in 8 hours.
However usual time is 2-3 days. I've never had a longer refurb aside from waiting for special paints to come on, the actual time painting is like 2 days.
