My car is currently stage1 and I'm looking to get a decat downpipe fitted would I need to get the car mapped again or will the car still run ok and make good power?
-
Car should run ok but you may get a check light from the post cat lambda sensor.
-
Does an angled o2 lamda sensor pipe eliminate the CEL?
What i found on ebay:
"Profusion Customs 304 Stainless Steel 90 Degree Adjustable
Lambda Boss M18 x 1.5mm - Part No: LB1899S"
-
They have worked for some but not everyone
-
It will probably overfuel quite a bit with the decat too. Best getting it mapped ASAP :happy2:
-
Overfuel ???
-
Would you notice any gains without getting it mapped or would it more likely make the car worse
-
Overfuel ???
More black smoke. The exhaust sensor will be giving the ECU readings that it doesn't like so the ECU will dump fuel in for safety
-
Is there not two o2 sensors?
Pre cat & post cat?
Therefore is it not the front o2 sensor that would cause that?
As the post cat sensor is only there to check if the cat is working so this is where you would out the angled o2 pipe.

With the decat and an autotech induction kit would this be enough for stage 2 or do I need am intercooler

You could load stage 2 software without but would be ideal to put a cooler on soon after with the summer months coming up

Its enough for stage 2 software but an intercooler would benefit you.
