Post by: cossy on October 16, 2009, 09:58:36 am

Are you lowered at all?

I have some 8x18 et45 team dynamics and they rub very slightly under maximum compression, but I'm quite low on the Bilsteins.

42 offset is probably at the limit for the MKV Golf on 8" alloys.

Currently sat on my car, and the fitment as far as offset is concerned is perfect, they will however catch on big compressions as Hurdy says.. but only really the arch liners/screw.

And yes, they're very light.

Yum Yum. not lowered car at all & probably wont in the future. How much more do these stick out compared to the Pescaras?

The rim will be 15mm further out. 9mm for the offset change and 6mm for the extra 1/4" on either side of the rim.

Your tyre shoulder will be 9mm further out if you keep a 225.

So are you saying if i measure out from my tyre now these would be 9 mm further out or 15mm? cheers

The bit that counts, the tyre shoulder where the tread starts, will be 9mm further out.

looking very nice tony, quick question for you on the clearence of the alcon's

How much room is left to spare between the rim and caliper?

Been offered a good price on these Turini's and about to order just wanna make sure they clear my stoptech's without the need of a spacer

cheers

....How light is "very light"? Since getting my OZ Alleggerita's I find I'm always very curious what other wheels weigh.

Subject to how lightweight they are, you feel a noticeable difference driving.

I like them, cossy - They are stylish without looking fussy.

I have seen the clearance with my own eyes and i would say its about half a gnats penis  :chicken: no more than a milimetre.  :happy2:

Nice wheels, I had them on my Impreza turbo a few years ago. Probably the only decent part of the car!

Note to all: don't buy an Impreza, they're god-awful cars. I had mine 3 months before I part ex'd it for an S3 (the same one I sold the dealer to buy the Impreza )
