Title: HELP! 2004 Golf GT Fsi stuck in gear

I have no idea when it comes to cars  :stupid: I've just let my dad borrow my car to nip down the shops and now it's fudged!
Stuck in gear. Any ideas what this could be? Any help appreciated. Thanks
