Nope, Only time to disconnect the battery is when removing the battery, starter or alternator
-
Not necessary but better safe than sorry

Andy can I take it that you disconnect the battery when you're changing a light bulb?

no only when doing the tyre pressures :signLOL: Just seen some right problems at work with the simplest of jobs from changing batterys to putting bulbs in
-
Im going to do it in the morning, I just wasn't sure if I needed to disconnect the battery before I start or is it like a plug and play thing?????
-
the light just plug and play--follow guide above and you will be fine

If you hear a beeping sound then the self destruct mode has initiated. Run for cover if this happens, otherwise its all good

Job done :pomppomp:I didn't disconnect the battery but I would advise safety glasses to be worn. Thanks for all the good advice. :congrats

Did mine today too! Bit nerve-wracking when bits start cracking off but all in all, not to bad. Only lightly pushed into place and as going to get some trim tape and fix it in properly tomorrow as want to ensure it's was water-tight as possible.
MOT tomorrow so better pass!
