Title: whole 5 litres

Hi, ive just had a full service done to my gti by a friend with the oil and oil filter changed. He has put the whole 5 litres of oil in the car should I be worried? Shall I ask him to drain some out. He said not to worry. Ive checked the dipstick its covering the whole max bit. Not gone into the wire though. What shall I do??

Think our 2.0 engines take 4.5L...correct me if I'm wrong

They do take nearly 5 litres.  Everywhere states 4.5, but its more like 4.9.  I wouldn't worry.
