Title: Snow foam options
Post by: nads1_uk on May 06, 2014, 09:43:54 pm
I've been using cg no touch snow foam for some time. Although I rate it is there any others that people would recommend giving a go?

Cheers

Andy

Bilt Hamber Autofoam is the only stuff that really cleans...use a lot of different foams and it's by far the best for cleaning power.

It is also wax safe up to 7% panel impact ratio.. normally that means about 1 inch of Autofoan in the lance and top it up with water, with your lance set to the highest amount of foam. It does not foam for a long time, it's not a "show foam" as I call them.. it actually cleans.

On a protected car for a weekly wash you can literally foam the car and blow dry it.. totally touchless and it's as clean as if you were to wash it normally.

autobrite magifoam is a second, it cleans much less effectively but it does foam for 20+ mins so if you want a big bubbly snow foam then that's maybe something to look at.

personally going to the hassle of buying the stuff and using it, the point is to remove as much dirt touchlessly to reduce regular wash marring.. so by that reasoning autofoam is the only one i go to and the only use i personally use on my own car.

Sounds like a pretty good snow foam to be honest! Might have to invest in some.
Where do you get it from Jay?

I've used Magifoam, Valet Pro snow foam and Bilt Hamber auto-foam. Bilt Hamber is by far the best of these three. Recommended. It works great even from a pump sprayer when diluted to 4-8% strength if you don't have a proper foam lance at hand.

I am currently using dodo juice ifoam and to be honest it didn't perform as well as I hoped. It creates lots of foam and smells nice but still left quite a lot of dirt on the car :/ will be using something else In future.

Oh wow, finally found a place that ships internationally.

Only a mere £89 to ship a £16.95 products. I guess I will keep trying to find a better shipping rate

I thought that Valet Pro is highly rated.

I'm asking as I can get it from neighboring Greece so I dont have to pay silly prices for transport.

I have found dodo juice snow foam really good at cleaning the car. But it's not the cheapest.

Currently use Espuma Activo which is very good, also Autosmart's Actimousse is another high performer

Just about to run out of snow foam and have been looking for a while as to which one to get, lots of varying reviews on foams but seeing as a few on here have recommended it plus that fact it's under £22 delivered for 5l on eBay I've just ordered some :happy2:

Is there any coloured foam?

Be very careful with coloured foams, leave them on too long or put too high a mix of soliton to water and there's a chance you can stain your car, yourself and I've even seen someone stain their driveway!!
