Title: Golf 5 GTi exhaust
Post by: AxeMan on May 08, 2014, 07:11:09 pm
I fitted a 76mm dp to my Golf 5 GTi last week.. car sounds good but still a bit quiet for my liking..
Everyone says that changing the exhaust system is a waist of money
So I just want to know if I fit a different back box will it make it louder and will it decrease my performance and up my fuel consumption?
Cause I can just imagine how much this large suit case box quietens it down..
Just want it to sound a bit louder and sportier

Backbox will make it noiser but do nothing for performance and won't affect your fuel economy

The only way an exhaust system will affect your fuel economy is when your being heavy footed because you love the noise it makes.

im thinking of doing a back box delete if i fit a r32 rear bumper, planning on chaopping the old box off, weld on a Y piece and have two tail pipes coming off it, anyone got any links to anyone that has done that?
