Title: Anyone looking to buy an EVOMS intake?
Post by: Mandy on May 08, 2014, 08:35:34 pm
After regretting selling my EVOMS intake I think I'm going to buy another one. :rolleye: Not any offers online anywhere at the moment but I can get them for £270 (heatshield is £25 extra), plus £7.50 postage if you're unable to collect from Southampton. Just thought I'd put it out there incase if anyone is looking to buy one too.

Please let me know if anyone knows of anywhere selling it cheaper. :happy2:

The filter on the revo looks tiny , I'm not convinced by the claims at all

Seen a few people claim that the revo is better than the evoms on the seat site like. Same rollers, everything identical except the evoms on for one day and then the revo on for another day, and they've made more power with the revo

Obviously there's other factors involved and you will never get a 100% accurate back to back comparison

So.....I'd be happy with either lol

I got my EVOMs on Rizzlepizzle's recommendation and I love it. Makes a noticable difference to top end performance.

Mandys offer is a great one. I paid just shy of £300 posted for mine. So this is a cracking deal.

Correct he made some gains, which is the reason I brought my revo one!

What is the difference between the Revo intakes, I see they have 2 prices, £358.80 and £418.80... Both are a bit more than the EVOMS, is it worth the extra money though? How big or small are the gains on the Revo over the likes of EVOMS? Can't seem to find much info about them...

What are the benefits of it being ceramic coated? :ashamed:

Changed mine to a REVO ceramic coated from ITG and it still gets bloody hot.

wouldn't want to know what the temps hit for the non ceramic version  :scared:

Bit of gold tape around the black pipework of the Evoms...

Maybe the revo is better maybe its not without doing them back to back tests in same conditions same fuel etc you can't tell much.  I doubt while driving you'd notice any difference.

Revo one is not worth 150-200 more

Defo not worth an extra £200 over the evoms

I totally agree that it's not worth nearly £200 more....even if you may see a.gain of 1 to 3 bhp...... Real world you would never feel that.....

If it's anything like their remaps it'll be an extra 500bhp.

Make your own and save £200 +

Not that many reviews on them that I can find so I'm not prepared to spend the extra notes, even with 10% discount it's still a bit pricey...

Agreed in the real world I can't see it being noticeable so I doubt it's worth the extra reddies!
