2 x 57 Plate S3's Both Manual
2  x 57 Plate Edition 30's  One DSG One Manual

Just given me first dibs tomorrow when they arrive.......

So who wants what at what price and what bits do I need for My 56'Plate Gti (Intercoolers etc)

Ive only had my Gti 11 months and I've not really had a chance to learn which mods do what, so please advise. Im ashamed to say ive still got 312's on...... :ashamed:

Ive got R32 rear lights already

if anybody serioulsy wants me to pick some bits up for them then let me know, Im in Preston Lancs, happy to ship stuff on.

I will have the hand brake cover with the red stitching and the gear gaitor for the same if they dont want silly money for them Dave.  :happy2:

you should get the s3 front and rear brakes, k04 turbo incl. to and from tubes +injectors and s3 IC . Would definaetly be worth your while  :drinking:

Right chaps

No point telling me only what you want, tell me a figure attached to each item. Not trying to make any money chaps just trying to help out.

I'll print this off on saturday morning and take it with me as a shopping list for small items - if its at or below the figure consider it bought so use the reply button wisely, Ill know tomorrow about MFSW and seats in the S3's

These guys aren't new to the game they may well want to sell the leathers complete with rears and are probably very familiar with the values.

Ive snagged the brakes.

Whats the story with the intercooler and a standard GTI - worthwhile having and at what price

For me i would pay £ 60 for the 2 items but i dont know whether they would split the golf ball off the gaitor. I am not a fan of the golf ball in a standard GTI so would not want the whole item unless the would accept £ 60 for both full items.  :happy2:

ED30 = 286mm x 12mm solid 38mm piston

Pads the same size

I know you would be taking a chance with any second hand turbo you buy, and i realize your position but i would not take a chance on a turbo from a breakers no matter how much of a bargain. It seems to me to be too risky for this type of part unless you can get it dirt cheap.  :smiley:

Also if people want couriering things, parcel2go.com are very very cheap, £7.90 for anything up to 25 kg!

Hi Dave,

Whilst the others are circling....I'll answer your question.

The S3 cooler has a larger volume and flow capacity than the standard GTI and has cast ends rather than plastic ones. The heatsoak effect that you get in warmer weather is reduced and so the car doesn't tend to feel as flat.

The intercooler from the S3 is worthwhile getting if it is still in one piece and you'll need the pipes as well. As new you'd be looking at around £250-£300 for it, but second hand if you want it then seek to pay under £200. :happy2:

i will have the full dsg box out of the ed30 if still avail !

i have the dsg mechatronics problem and they wont fix it under warranty because of my modifications!

also interested in the full engine block of the dsg ed30 too

any prices would be good, would pay c£500 for dsg box

Right chaps....

Edition 30's both 3 drs, Both Manual, One White, One Black
S3's are Manual. One Blue, One Silver

All four have been rolled, interiors are ok.

Bumpers are intact but may have some scratches.

He'll do the VW Rear badges and mechanism for £30

He wants to sell the Steering wheel NON MULTI FUNCTION gear knob gaiter and handbrakes and alli trim with the edition 30 badges for £180 - wont split

He'll do the radpack for the S3's comprising Rad/Aircon Rad and intercooler for £150 - no intercooler pipes unfortunately

Interiors

He'll do front and rear door cards front and rear seats for £600 as long as both go so maybe Luca, Greenouse, Big Al get your heads together. HE WILL NOT SHIP THE INTERIORS THEY ARE COLLECTION ONLY FROM MANCHESTER - I CANT FIT THEM IN MY CAR

R32 rear lights  - £200 for both cars rear lights thats two full sets

GUYS THE ONLY THING I'M HAVING FROM THIS ARE THE BRAKES AT A PRICE I HAD ALREADY AGREED, IM HAPPY TO COLLECT SMALLER ITEMS FOR PEOPLE FROM DOWN SARF AND SHIP THEM ON AT COST (£8 FOR UPTO 20KG, 48 HR SERVICE, INSURED TO £50) WITH UPS. One more thing chaps - this guy is a bit of a lobster i.e. hard to handle.

Im trying to avoid many people ringing him for a "chat", we get best prices, by gaining his trust, pitching up on time with a wallet full of cash and picking his cars clean. Im happy to supply the guys number to anybody who wants it right now, if you do want some stuff then bear in mind HE WILL NOT SHIP STUFF ITS COLLECTION ONLY FROM HIM FROM MANCHESTER, smaller items I can ship for you at cost so budget in the £8-£10 for delivery (bubble wrap is expensive!)

So if you do want to ring this guy direct then please by all means do so just dont mention my name and then kick him in the stones pricewise, if you ring up and dont mention my name then the prices will almost certainly be worse, dont then say "Dave brown said you'd do it at this price" ring off and get you mum to ring back!!

JPC  we have since spoke.

Guys its quickly turning into a bit of a mess this, I'm in Italy this week so haven't got time to get toooooooo involved

I haven't received any money from anybody for any parts, so the breaker number is 07769532891 hes a great lad called Rash.

Its Oldham/Manchester Area

By all means make your own enquirys, Im going down on Saturday to collect my Brakes, if anybody has agreed to buy anything AND the money is in my account I'll happily collect/pay for it and ship it as long as it will go into the boot of a golf and you're happy to pay for delivery.

PS The bottom arms have gone already.

It's weird that this guy turns out to be a breaker who I've dealt with before and knows me. I'm releving him of an interior on Wednesday. I asked about exterior stuff and he won't split it up. You gotta buy skirts front and rear bumpers.

Just call the guy up and stick your name on the second one till weekend, spoke to Rash this morning. He's happy to stick stuff to one side just either mention my name or mention this thread on this forum.

He happier than an itchy pig on a sh1t covered bouncy castle - hes done 1500 quid in 36 hours cos of this forum.

Dave do you know if the front ends are intact need a black bonnet,  I phoned Rash today but he asked me to call back tomorrow cos he has one coming tomorrow.

Just wanted to know if you took much interest in the front and if the bonnet is decent???

looks like someones pulled a fast one on me!

i was promised from rash on monday one of the interiors was mine. they were being taken out of the car yday afternoon/night so ready for collection weds.

so i borrowed a van for this aft.

i was just setting off to rash's so phoned him asking if he was ok for time. to which he said "you came this morning"

i phoned rash back about 10 mins after the phone call to ask a description.

He said him and his partner had been talking about the mix up and it seems that the mystery man convinced them that he was me from the forum. Rash mentioned our phone calls to him, to which he was like.."ye ye we sorted it out monday" kind of thing.

He said he thought he might have come down from newcastle way. he was really apologetic after he realised he let them go to someone else, but i wasnt too mad at rash, just whoever has got my seats!  :stupid:

That's horrendous. You don't expect fellow forumites to do that.

I doubt it's a 'regular' member, maybe someone who lurks. Or it might not be a member at all...but it's still frikkin gutting!  :fighting:

dont want to be on the other side of the argument but...wat if thats the cash in his pocket talking? maybe he got a better offer and doesnt want to say that to you? or this myster man could have driven from newcastle randomly and clicked that someone had these seats reserved already and pretended that he was that person...

eitherway its pretty gutting.

changing the subject slightly, i just got these ed30 seats from somewhere and need some help with fitting  :grin:

My missus has wrecked yet another wheel and 1 month old F1 assy this afternoon and i could do with a new wheel ideally as its already been repaired before thanks to her super driving abilities...  :stupid:

I think I know who's bought the ED30 interior and if I am right, it was bought in 100% good faith via Ebay - item 120481691555.  He's not a member or a watcher of this forum and he had no idea parts were being sold through this forum.

Very sorry state of affairs this, Im driving over there on Saturday to collect the stuff I've committed to.

I started this thread in the best of faith, I know its not personal but its been alluded to on the other thread security thread that I could have been a scammer trying to build up a post count to get some cred on here. Which technically is correct but I'm not...... that stinged a bit but I understand

Anybody who sends me any money for any items I was going to collect for them is going to have it sent back (£0 Received so far). If you were planning on sending it then dont.

The thread was started with the best of intentions I did get some well worded PM's suggesting that it might indeed fall down around my toes which is exactly whats happened.

Anyway sincere apologies for bringing this to the forum, the guys obviously not genuine. Anybody who still wants to buy stuff from him then fill your boots the numbers in the ebay ad.

Sorry chaps....

In the interests of fairness I'll discuss this with Rash on Saturday - post up here his say on the matter and probably ask the thread to get removed or locked
