Hi all
Just wondering what's the biggest disc that will fit under the s3 calipers?
I currently have the oem 345mm vented discs, just wondered if I could run bigger diameter disc with the S3 calipers?
My discs

345mm are the biggest IIRC
-
Wanted bigger discs with out spending ££££ on a aftermarket BBK but guess I'll just have leave the 345 and maybe get some drilled discs :happy2:
-
As above pretty sure there the biggest. So if you are feeling flush and wanting better brakes you could get ttrs/rs3 calipers and a fitting kit to run on your 345's :happy2:
-
Not feeling massively flush at the moment, had my insurance renewal in April plus a sh*tter of a trip to the garage with a incorrectly fitted engine mount bracket, bye bye £1400 in 5 weeks :sad1:  I have nothing to show for it other than a few pieces of paper from the insurers and a ' correctly ' fitted engine bracket haha new set of drilled discs is my limit for braking at the movement
-
Just get some good pads and discs... they will stop just fine.
-
What's discs do you have with your s3's rich ? My pads are good there ferodo and fitted in December with plenty of meat in them still
-
340mm TTS discs. bit lighter and better venting that r32 discs.
Mintex 1144 or 1155
Pagid blues
Project mu... 300+ quid :scared:
Ive never felt the need to upgrade my brakes past these...and it gets driven fairly hard. On track it would be a different story I would imagine.
-
Thanks :happy2:
I'm not planning on tracking it, well maybe once in the future.
We're the tts a direct fit then?
-
yes :happy2:

-
Thanks mate surfing the net + fleebay now :happy2:

So the TTS 340mm disc fit directly on Golf mk5 with R32 calipers? I am going to upgrade my brakes on my eddy soon...

Yep. Properly painted with metallic paint. :happy2:
-
Rich are the ones you copied the link for drilled disc or just flat? Couldn't really tell from the link but the part number in google search shows both flat and drilled discs
-
Plain. No point in drilled.
-
Cool cheers mate, few bits in the site that are needed thanks for the link mate :drinking:

Golf R 345mm front brake setup, with custom HEL braided lines & ATE blue dot 4 brake fluid stops me very well when driven hard. :happy2:
