Title: O2 Sensor (Lambda) PN
Post by: anorganix on May 12, 2014, 08:42:04 am
Hi,

I'm having some trouble with the precat Oxygen sensor on my S3.
From the 2 error codes I have, it seems that the sensor is toast & I'm looking for the part number if anyone can help.

Started with rough/variable idle after cold start and no MIL.
After I restarted the engine MIL came on & idle is stable - car seems to run properly.

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

This bosch one is also compatible (I have it in my gti) if you find the vag one too expensive.

Just curious - if you have a lambda fault code/engine check light, but my car has been running fine. Is it still crucial to get it changed or can one just live with it ? Whats the worse that can happen ?
