awesomes good for me, although prosport did offer to do a RR day where all the money went to a childrens charity :happy2:, but thats no good if they haven't sussed the DSG procedure cos a few of the older members(and Tom) have auto's now

Title: Re: RR day in North West?
Post by: gazbutS3 on October 21, 2009, 08:56:02 pm
yes last time we went a fiver of everyones run went to a charity of our choice, which we donated to mcmillan IIRC, was deffo a cancer charity, and when I phoned to thank him he said he would donate all the cash from the next one to a local childrens hospice for sick children :happy2:

I'm easy either way, but to be honest if your goin into a dyno run in a dsg car knowin its not gonna be accurate would you bother? I can ring him and check if he has it sussed if everyone wants to?
Title: Re: RR day in North West?
Post by: Top Cat on October 21, 2009, 09:01:12 pm
I would prefer Awsome just because of the location but i am honestly not bothered were as long as the rollers are accurate.   :star:
I think its a given that the rollers would need to be able to accommodate the DSG brigade.
So who is going to grab the baton and get it organized.

How about RS tuning in Leeds? They seem to be very well regarded now and there dyno is meant to be one of the most accurate.

Hi Guys
Wow , am I way too late or what?????

Well at the moment , we have got some rolling road days already
We have UKMKIV`s booked in and also Seat Cupra Net

So with another blow to us , we have a technician that runs the rolling road days leaving us today too

So we are down to Jim running the rolling road days just now
He has family commitments , so at the moment , we are now looking at January onwards :(

I am so sorry guys
But we are also looking at getting another technician trained up to do the rolling road , but as you can imagine , it is not a couple of hour training to do that

So is January out for you guys?

Again my apologies
Sarah

So with another blow to us , we have a technician that runs the rolling road days leaving us today too

So we are down to Jim running the rolling road days just now
He has family commitments , so at the moment , we are now looking at January onwards :(

I am so sorry guys
But we are also looking at getting another technician trained up to do the rolling road , but as you can imagine , it is not a couple of hour training to do that

So is January out for you guys?

Again my apologies
Sarah

you should train me and give me they keys for the weekend  :signLOL:
Joe........I am sure you would have bags and bags of fun LOL  :congrats:
That would be something we would love to see
But to be fair , it is something quite technical
That is why they are not letting me anywhere near the rollers , now I would love to do it too
But wear a hard hat for when people are low on power  :fighting:

But we are going to train up one or possibly 2 technicians , so we dont have this situation again
That is going to take time , but we will get there
Sarah

Sarah, is yours a two or four wheel RR?  If it is Jan next year, I might find a way of getting over your side of the country?
