Title: What Has this Forum done for you!!......... Bit of Fun

If you have a Photo of your 1st Day with your new purchase, and perhaps a photo of how this Forum has "helped" you to alter one or two things asthetically :ashamed:

If i can start the ball rolling, From my day 1, i sweared that i was happy to keep my car Standard and it was addiment i wouldnt alter. Just 18 months later and a few Â£'s spent, ive totally gone against everything i said i would never.

So Day one, looking stunning sat with my old GTi on the lawn.

got the bumper for about 100, then you can get the milltek R32 style cat back for about 500 i think. I have the full TBexhaust though so cost me around Â£850 for the whole lot! :happy2:

What brakes are you going for?

i have been a part of helping vw racing with there new 6 pot 360mm brake setup that is very cool

look for big brakes on the site and the pics are of the old setup as the new setup will be out soon

Oh - I thought there was a project linky or sommat on this forum!

Anyhow - do you mean these ones - http://www.volkswagenracing.co.uk/Golf%205%20Pages/Golf%20Brakes%20Kit.html - if so, I strongly recommend you 'try before you buy'. Whilst they are very powerful, they are increadibly difficult to modulate - which sorta backs up about what I've been saying about VWR using dedicated 'motorsport' products for road useage.

I've tried their demo car at Snetterton a while back - with Sam Roach, which I really found to be very powerful, but very unforgiving. Or are these a newer version?
