Hi guys any idea on how the trim on the inside of the boot lid comes off.
Thanks

There's a screw in each handle that you need to remove and there are clips around the edges and a couple in the middle. You can free some of the clips with trim removal tools by poking them inbetween the trim and bodywork. You need to use a bit of brute force to get the panel off still

This is worth a read

Don't just yank it off, I ended up smashing it into 4 pieces. They are £120 new from the delalers too :/

Bit of a pig. Pull needs to be even and not just forced from bottom - tends to bend the locating pegs and cause the metal brackets to misalign. Doh.
Do you need to remove the trim?

Brute force and ignorance! Mine landed about 5 foot from my car when I first had to remove it.

I just actual lolled at this! My mrs wondered what was so funny, when I told her she called me a cock! Weirdo!

Cheers guys couldn't see them screws. Was bugging me as I saw me arse and left it for an hour before I bork it.
Need to get it off for the dab amp in the back screen and possibly the reversing camera

Just rag it pal. Worked for me.

i usually use a trim removal tool bud, but run a piece of masking tape or a cloth along the paintwork side firstly so not to scratch it, as said though they're a pig, you'll be lucky not to break some of the clips.

There's a reverse camera fitting guide on here that I believe covers the removal of the boot trim.

Just yank at it obnoxiously send the clips flying everywhere and bending the plastic guides and spend half an hour putting all the bits back together
But seriously, when i did my rear lights it was bitterly cold, brittle plastic and hurting hands. So you'll probably have more luck than my first time round with the current weather! Dont go at it with a feather duster, i thought i'd done something wrong or not unscrewed something, i was just being too shy with it

You think removal is bad, Re fitting involves broken wrists, loads of banging, and madness as when you finally get it back on one of the clips falls off and ends up inside the bootlid rattling about!

Bloody hell cant believe its been so much trouble for some I removed mine without any trouble No broken clips or plastic cover Good set of plastic trim tools and knowing where the clips are helps a lot
