Title: Does dsg have reverse beep?
Post by: Airz182 on May 17, 2014, 02:09:33 pm: I have 05 golf gti dsg, put it in reverse last night and coudld hear a faint beeping noise, just wonderd if this is normal or should it be louder?

Do you have rear parking sensors?

Post by: Airz182 on May 17, 2014, 03:02:09 pm: I ment to say, a beep as in a warning beep to let you know its in reverse, it was only a very faint beeping noise, stereo was off and only could just hear it. I even put it back into park and neutral and the beeping went away but when i put it in reverse it made the noise again, but now its not doing it!!

i haven't got reverse sensors mate

Might have another look when i finish work, i was starting to doubt if i heard the beeping!! But my girlfriend heard it when i pointed it out to her, like i say it was defo a faint consistant beeping, until i put in drive or neutral.

Also puts the back wiper on if it is raining.

06 golf with no sensors...mine never used to beep
