Title: Apple Macbook pro
Post by: scooba on May 17, 2014, 09:02:57 pm
I have a Mac and only use it for emails and web browsing  but just lately it is doing random things its two years old  , Is there a way off having it cleaned up or is it now time to buy another .

Could it be corrupt or is this what happens after a couple of years  ,any advice would be greatly appreciated

It's not normal,  i have had one for years with no issues,  you can set it back to factory which will sort it if it's a software issue,  what problems are you having?

Do a fresh install of whatever OS your using.

Had my Mac Book Pro for 6 years now, travelled the world and never missed a beat so your 2 year old laptop may just need a few tweaks to put it right.

Try first by clearing the pram, restart/boot up and hold Command + Option + P + R until it reboots again by its self.

If that fails: make sure you've got wifi, restart/boot up and hold down Command + R, select reinstall (or format and reinstall) and follow the instructions.

Failing all of that, book it into a genius bar at an apple store and they'll be able to point you in the right direction.
