Car is in bits on the drive lol :ashamed:
Can anyone tell me what size STAR I need to remove the front and rear brake carriers?
And where do I clamp the brake line when removing calipers ?
Thank you soooo much in advance
-
they arn't stars bud, they're allen keys, either 6 or 7mm, don't crimp your brake flexi's either, get your jack handle and hold the brake pedal down to the floor and secure it against the seat once you've opened the bleed nipple, this will stop all the fluid leaking out and all you'll lose is what enitially comes out from pushing the padal to the floor.
apolagies the rear are stars, but sorry don't know about the rear,
-
:happy2: wicked.....so I I hold the pedal to the floor then disconnect the caliper it will hold the brake fluid back?
Allen key removes the calipers mate....the rear carriers are stars
-
yeh sorry bud, i jumped in a tad bit quick there, but yeh that'll hold all the fluid in if you keep the pedal held down, also just try your allen keys in them stars, it's worked for me before.

14mm spline, yeah and a big breaker bar.
You want to get the smallest sized (overall chunkyness?) socket cause there's not much room to get it in with your bar / socket on.
-
:sad1: this my firs tin dong all this lol
Mike.....your scaring me lol
Just worried it will be seized and the bloody spline brakes.......happened to me before
