Not too sure what but something has happend to my drivers door.
Driving home from work noticed a bit more noise and some wind whistle.
When I got home the divers door ever so slightly doesn't fit at the top. All I can think is some little sh1t has tried to get in
Prob by pulling at the top of the door frame.
Any idea how to bend it back without doing more damage?
Cheers

sorry to hear about this matey! :(

You sure it's not just the door seal that's come unseated a bit ?
Try it as if the door is bent I feel a new door is the only way .... well, after trying the opposite of what someone may have tried !
They used to do this years ago, particularly on Peugeot's .... and they always needed a new door afterwards ! The Golf is a little more solid though.
Hopefully it's just a seal ...

I will give it a go, you can see that it does not fit as flush as it used to. Be it only a few mm.
So I suppose something like a piece of wood to stop the door from closing.
Should I put the window down?

wait a minute... are you asking us if the best method of repair is to bend it back using a bit of wood?
...oh dear
-
Mine's a little out, but that's because the door has dropped - think it might just be that??
It's pretty tough to get your fingers in there to bend the door back, I'd have expected some screwdriver marks or something??
-
You sure its not normal?
Mine is a few mm out at the top, always has been.
Its been noted on other forums as a wind noise area.
-
I think this is a common fault as Cocopops said, i noticed mine had dropped and when looking down the side profile of the car you could see that it had dropped by a couple of mm, i just drove by VW and asked them to realign, under warranty 5min job, been good ever since, also reduced wind noise quite a bit!

Well don't know what to do now.
No Internet BT say it could be 2 weeks so no pictures unless I can work out how to upload from my phone.
If the door has dropped it has done so today, there is a gap at the top where you can just squeeze your fingers in to pull.
In answer to the block of wood, if I am to try and "bend" the door back I need to stop it from closing with something solid that will not do more damage.
If I Continue to get good reception on the phone I will lookup how to realign the door/try to see of it has dropped.
Not doing anything today as it's persisting it down.
Just funny how it's just happened, deffo ok on Sunday.
