Title: Display in centre of clocks fading
Post by: Matt24pin on May 18, 2014, 03:02:49 pm
Having a issue with my display in the centre of my clocks in that the edges & corners start to fade to the point where I can barely read the text. It comes and goes but does seem worse since the suns been out a lot and interior is red hot.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Mine is the same, I'm probably just gonna look around for a highline and get it coded in.

The display is fading but thankfully it is a fairly easy fix. find another cluster on ebay, it doesn't have to be exactly the same as long as you are replacing the same same screen (Midline for Midline etc) or take the opportunity to upgrade to a Highline if yours isn't already.

Can't upload a pic of my clocks but they're identical to these. Midline /highline?

Possibly forgot to add the link but here it is :

And yeah the last couple days 22/23 degrees they've been awful. But 11pm once cooled down they're clear and bold as anything no fade at all

It's quite annoying :/

My clocks are identical to the ones in the link in my above post are they mid or highline?

07' GTI if that makes any difference

Thanks

If its 2 small screen with a plastic bar through the middle its midline if its just one large screen then its highline.

Seems to me like it seems to be a common theme with the midlines at the moment.  My car is an 06 with a midline.

My midline does the same. I just assumed that it was because it has a hairline crack on the left hand side edge. Glad I am not the only one.
