Title: headlights??

I have a 2004 gti looking at some headlights from 2008 will they fit fine (may sound stupid) all standard headlights

can anyone recommend a set, are they fine for the mot? am I better of with genuine standard headlights or xenon headlight look (cant afford the real thing)

Golf MK5 headlights are all the same fitment 2004-2008, there fine for MOT yes and go for genuine if you've got the money otherwise lookalikes with a decent set of HID's behind them look almost as good as the real thing IMO. :happy2:

So look alike xenon headlights are ok if I haven't got headlight washers etc for the mot, anyone got a set I can see

I've got genuine xenons in my gti and just the lamps with hids in my 1.6 and you can barely tell the difference. The look alikes are great for the price.

These are my aftermarket xenon headlights. Can't really tell them apart unless you get up close.

Plug & play then buy yourself a decent HID kit for the full xenon look.
