I'd like a set of Valeo LED rear lights for my m5, i've had a quick search around the forum but now I'm more confused than when I started! Can someone answer a few questions?
- is 1K0052204 the right part number for both assemblies?
- They are NOT a straight swap as the fog/reverse is the wrong way round. Is there any other way of addressing this with out stripping the units?
- are these the lights people frequently convert to 'Bugati/GTR' style rears?
Last but not least, is anyone selling any?

-You can buy them from vw for around £250(at staff rate) but have to wait as they get them direct from germany

Thanks for that. Would it be possible to use 2 clear inners to balance the back out a bit, use a silvertec red bulb?

^^^^ Just remove the red inner reflector from one side and the clear reflector fron the other side, will be fine. Just get the bulb I've linked too below. Info From a post I did a while back.......
These are great lights peeps which give a vastly improved light output over the standard UK OEM clusters with the bonus of an indicator function that can actually be seen by following traffic. Anything under £300 and you'll be well chuffed with them.
The VALEO units are a straight "Plug n play" mod. Its advisable to get the "Bulb out" warning light coded out as these are LED's and draw much less power so sometimes they pop up the error.

Where do you get s spare white cap from?
No extra caps (assuming your talking about the internal plastic reflector covers) are needed. Either swap or remove just one. If removing just one then replace the current bulb with one of these OSRAM Diadem bulbs (not cheap though).....

For those that are interested, the Skyline mod (pic and link below), really does look awesome in the flesh. Its a fair bit of work re modding, wiring in the car and coding the modding but can be sourced out to either a chap in Australia or a chap in Romania. All info is in the thread below. Any other info, please feel free to PM me for other links etc.

Without doing ANY modifications at all, these lights can also be coded to remove the inner lite section giving a ring look instead of their solid appearance, will look like the outer units on the pic above.
