Went to Vw yesterday to get my final quotation for the K04 conversion for my Golf 5 GTi
And gave them the part number for the Audi S3 8p K04 turbo from the BHZ motor aslong as all the part numbers of all the other parts needed and the guy helping me said I dont need the DV relocation kit as on that K04 turbo it sits on the turbo like on my standard K03?
He showed me the picture they have on the system and it is true that the DV goes onto the turbo..
So all I want to know is that if this info is true and also if it does go onto the turbo will I still need to relocate the DV?
And then I suppose I'll have to blank off the DV port on that turbo?
Please guys. All the help is greatly appreciated. I want to start getting ready for the conversion so all help asap would seriously be appreciated :happy2:

Wouldn't be the first VW qualified and fully trained tech to not have a clue what he's talking about
You need to relocate DV, there is no housing on the KO4 :happy2:
have a look in this thread, will help to show whats needed/involved

Just goes to show how innacurate the systems can be (and how poor the knowledge of the staff is too).
If there is a mk6 Golf R on the forecourt, open the bonnet and you will see the DV by the bonnet release catch :happy2:

I'm thick as fook and even I know the DV is at the front!

This Is mainly because like Etka and many other parts icon screens they all have a generic picture frame and telling the difference on one engine but 2 different outputs will commonly show the same pictures. Fortunately for you you have asked the right question on the right forum!!
