Title: Fitting rns315, does it have dab?
Post by: Sim0n_parker on May 21, 2014, 11:07:24 am
Hello!
I'm in process of fitting the rns315 and unable to tell if it h's dab! It's got the black fakra connector and the blue one aswell as two whites
Blue for nav
Black for dab
White for am fm stations.

The car it came out of though didn't have the dab aerial connected?
And wasn't able to listen to dab. Is there a function you have to click to enable? Or update the firmware

As far as I know, just connect it to a DAB aerial and it should bark up. may be a setting on the unit to enable it, but I'm not sure.

If you've got the black connector (top left) it has DAB. Will require a powered antenna. If still not working then you'll need to login to VCDS and check its activated in the coding, Byte 3/ Bit 4 should be unchecked.
