Do basic steps first mate, full router shutdown and reboot. Also have you tired the website in another browser, ie Chrome or Firefox.

I've been having similar probs to you on the home wifi, the forum loads most of the time but it's when I try to post something it usually crashes and then I get the "can't connect to server" message. Could last anywhere from 5 mins to a few hours then forum will load again, no prob. Works fine on my phone using 3G. Not sure of the cause of it but I'm no good with computer stuff so just put up with it lol.

Windows 7
Click the Start button.
Enter cmd in the Start menu search field.
Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
Type the following command and press Enter: ipconfig /flushdns
If the command was successful, you will see the following message:
Windows IP configuration successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.
