Not so sure about touch screen, but PC specialist are brilliant. You can totally customise a laptop to your budget and they're really well priced. :D

Have you considered an ipad? Much better than a laptop for what you're using it for

I have always found the Dell Outlet site great for bargains. If you wait and continue checking the site, you should get the laptop with the specs you want.

I've bought more laptops than I care to remember, and they all seem to just end up being wrong. First up, I'd spend ages looking for a good spec laptop with graphics, the right processor, plenty of memory, etc. and then in a few months time "It's the wrong colour! I want a purple one!" or suchlike.

I gave up buying good computers and just bought the cheapest one I could find in the colour they wanted. The joys of living with a wife and two daughters....

Anyway, since that's all been sorted I've gone through Acer, HP, Dell, Packard Bell, and strewth knows how many other brands, and the only ones which survive any sort of agro are Sony. Never had to buy another charger, never lost a key off the keyboard, never bought a battery even.

So, this one would be the one for me.

Oh, and an ipad is useless for running Etka.....  :happy2:

Yep, it is shiny.

Won't be long before the wife has her hands on it I bet. My wife loves shiny things.

Have you actually tried using one?

In my house I have a Linux desktop and Linux Laptop, I purchased a Acer C710 2gb version as a toy really to find out what they were all about. first thing I did was to upgrade it to 4gb.

I'm typing off it now, its become my everyday workhorse... Done alot of travelling with it writing documents on the plane etc.. as soon as I connect to wifi it updates the documents on Google drive

The only things I cant do at the moment which make me go back to using the Linux machine occasionally are download torrents and upload music to Google play music.

Apart from that I can use this as a full replacement for my day to day activities ... Word editing, HTML, Surfing,Movies,Music and SSL
