lol guess they do have the stigma for being chav cars but hey ho... golfs have the stigma for being heavy and slow... cant win i suppose :)

A GTI isnt that much to run, same(ish) costs as the other mk5 golfs except more fuel and tax, servicing etc isnt too bad!

will upload pics soon enough, but im sure the users of this site are familiar with a black mk5. Coming from an e92 coupe so will take time to get used to, been about a week now.

Few things I wish to do, but that will come in another thread and I'm sure there's plenty to read.

Here it is:

Not been that long and its pretty close to the condition I want it in lol (my ocd is bad)
To date:
Cambelt/Waterpump
New headlamps/bulbs (previous ones had a frosted look, which I believe is fairly common on these)
Dealer plates
GTI badges
2 new front tyres
Coolant refresh
MK6 Rear Badge (not in this photo, but posted in the ''what did you do'' thread)
Bosch Wipers front & Rear

The biggest problem was the headlights and plates, looks alot more polished now, so pleased with the turnaround.

To come:
New brakes all around
RCD510
DV not quite gone yet, but will do this prior.
DSG oil change
68k FVSH (will maintain this going foward) next service isnt due till summer 2015
will just keep it tidy and enjoy it
