Ok so basically I locked my car today and went into my friends house when I came out the remote fob would not unlock the car. I thought fine maybe the battery is going dead. However I had the sunroof open to the tilt setting, it will not close now and my auto locking feature isn't working as in when I go over 15kph the doors aren't locking. I can lock and unlock the car through the barrel but when I lock it the interior lights do not switch off. I have checked all fuses and I am at a loss what to do. I don't want to leave the sunroof open over night.
Any ideas? It's a 06 mk5 gti 3 door.
Ps: battery is fine in the key, the red led lights up when I hit the buttons. All windows, lights etc are working. I am kind of gutted as I only have the car a day and absolutely love it.
Any help really is appreciated.

Problem solved. I opened and closed my boot the whole lot clicked and everything is fine agai.
Can anyone shed light on this? Is it a sensor that was registering the boot was open so it wouldn't lock the rest? Can't explain the sunroof?
