Title: Noise at front
Post by: suave on May 30, 2014, 10:27:27 pm
I am getting a clicking noise when I turn right on full lock at low speed - u turn etc.

Anyone got any idea what this could be as my MOT is still a few months away?

Cheers

Sounds like cv joint.

It will be the subframe clicking most probably. It can be fixed with some spacers and new bolts, try the search function for "subframe noise"

EDIT: done it for you - http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,55099.0.html

You want two of each I think

Definitely worth checking the CV boots for leaking grease... but if it's already clicking then a new boot won't fix it.

Subframe bolts worth doing either way tbh.
