Title: Rear coilover adjustment
Post by: Kalpesh on May 31, 2014, 07:47:49 am
Hi all,

Wantvto lower the rear of my golf a touch more, am I right in thinking you remove the bolt holding the rear control arm in place so the spring comes out, make any adjustments reinstall spring and connect the control arm back up?

depending on the make of coilover, you might have to remove the adjuster completely to get it low enough

Will try and get round to it this weekend, one thing I have noticed the adjusters are on the bottom, can they be flipped around so that they are on the top so adjusting in the future is easier?

you cant with FK coilovers mate, i asked the same question when mine where fitted by the VAG garage near me. AP's etc can have the adjuster at the top but for some reason the FK kit has to be in the Control Arm  someone will explain the truth behind it hopefully, its a pain in the butt i know haha
